Updated October 8, 2026
This page is the privacy policy and terms of use for the websites and deal desk operated by GlobeWyze Inc. ("GlobeWyze," "we," "us"). It is written for founders and visitors in Canada and the United States. A studio partnership, if one is made, is governed by its own written agreement. Nothing on this site is that agreement.
Privacy policy
GlobeWyze is accountable for personal information in its control. This policy follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, the private-sector privacy statutes of Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as modernized by Law 25.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: name, email address, and the password or sign-in method you use.
- Application and deal-desk details: founders, company, progress, customers, competitors, revenue model, incorporation, and how you heard about GlobeWyze.
- Messages you send through Contact or to the studio, and files you place in a folder you share with us.
- Technical data created by using the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and approximate region. We use this to run and secure the site.
Please do not send government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information unless we have asked for it in writing for a specific purpose.
Why we collect it
We identify the purpose at or before collection. We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account;
- review an application and operate the deal desk;
- let Wyzer draft notes from what you submit, while a person at GlobeWyze makes any decision about a partnership, a milestone, or equity;
- reply to you and, only with the consent Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires, send commercial electronic messages;
- refer or share information with GlobeWyze portfolio companies when that supports the venture's growth or a synergy with a portfolio company;
- keep the site reliable, investigate misuse, and meet legal duties.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context advertising. We may refer or share information with GlobeWyze portfolio companies when that supports the venture's growth or a synergy between the venture and a portfolio company. We do not use application text to train a public model. Aggregated figures that do not identify a person may be used to understand how the studio is used.
Consent
We rely on your consent, except where PIPEDA or another Canadian law allows collection, use, or disclosure without it. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits and to reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent for the application may mean we cannot continue a review. Consent for a commercial electronic message can be withdrawn by the unsubscribe method in that message, or through Contact.
Who we share it with
Staff of GlobeWyze who need the information for the purposes above may see it. GlobeWyze may refer or share information with its portfolio companies when that supports the venture's growth or a synergy between the venture and a portfolio company. Service providers who host the site, email, authentication, or file storage may process it on our instructions. If you share a folder, the people you invite can see what the folder's own permissions allow. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or when it is reasonable to protect a person or our rights.
Some providers store or access information in Canada and in the United States. GlobeWyze remains accountable for that information and uses contractual and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of an application.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for the partnership if one is formed, and for the periods Canadian law requires. Application drafts stored in your browser stay on your device until you clear them. If you ask us to delete account or application information, we will delete or de-identify it unless we must retain it for a legal claim, a tax record, or another duty.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You may withdraw consent as described above. If you are in Quebec, you may also ask for information about automated processing used to assist a review, and you may ask that we cease disseminating information or de-index a link where the statute gives you that right.
Write to us through Contact.
Automated assistance
Wyzer can read what you type in an application and draft a summary or follow-up questions. That output can be wrong. It does not accept or decline a venture, set a valuation, or issue a term sheet. A person at GlobeWyze owns those decisions.
Children
The site and the deal desk are for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe we have, and we will delete it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to an application and a deal file. No transmission over the internet is completely secure. Do not send material you are not prepared to transmit electronically.
Terms of use
By using globewyze.com, the deal desk, or Wyzer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the posting is acceptance of the update, except where Canadian law requires a different form of notice.
The site is not an investment offering
GlobeWyze is a venture studio. Case studies, milestone descriptions, and equity language on this site describe how the studio works. They are not an offering of securities, a prospectus, an offering memorandum, or an invitation to the public to invest. Any investment, if one is made, happens only under a separate written agreement and only after a milestone the parties have accepted. Past ventures are not a forecast.
Accounts and applications
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for activity under your account. You confirm you have the right to share information about cofounders and the company. Application materials stay yours. You grant GlobeWyze a licence to use them to review the application, operate the deal desk, and, if you proceed, perform the partnership. That licence ends when we no longer need the materials for those purposes, except for copies we must keep by law.
An application does not restrict GlobeWyze, and it does not give an applicant an exclusive claim on a market, a problem, or an approach. GlobeWyze may solicit, review, build, and incubate other ventures in the same space, a similar space, or a competing space, including ventures the studio originates. Nothing in these terms prevents that work.
Acceptable use
You will not:
- break Canadian or other applicable law, including CASL, by using the site to send unsolicited commercial messages;
- upload material you do not have the right to share, or material that infringes copyright or trademark;
- interfere with the site, probe it without permission, or attempt to access another founder's application;
- misrepresent who you are or who the company is.
Our content
The GlobeWyze name, logo, and the text and design of this site are owned by GlobeWyze Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy them for a commercial use without written permission. Portfolio names and marks belong to their owners.
Copyright notices
If you believe material on this site infringes a copyright, write to us through Contact with: your name and contact details; the work you say is infringed; the location of the material; and a statement that you believe the use is not authorized. Canada uses a notice-and-notice regime under the Copyright Act. We will review the notice and, where appropriate, disable access to the material.
Disclaimers and liability
The site, Wyzer, and any draft the agent produces are provided as available. They may be incomplete or wrong. To the extent Canadian law allows, GlobeWyze disclaims implied warranties that the site will be uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. Some provinces do not allow certain disclaimers, and those limits apply to you if you are a consumer there.
To the extent Canadian law allows, GlobeWyze is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a decision you make from site content or from an agent draft. Our aggregate liability arising from use of the site, other than from a separate written partnership agreement or from a liability that cannot be limited, will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that a Canadian statute does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, except where a consumer protection statute gives you the right to bring a claim in your home province. These terms do not require arbitration and do not bar a class proceeding where a Canadian statute does not allow that bar.
